I am fascinated by the art of retail window displays. A couple of years ago, I visited Bavaria and Austria over the holidays. The creative energy and vision required make these fascinating exhibits - all with the goal of luring shoppers into the store. It's still a fun activity in the evening...you know, "window shopping". The art of the display is not about how much you can cram into a small space, but rather, allowing enough space for each item to sing its own song in harmony with the other pieces. I hope you enjoy the music!

I attended the 44th anniversary of Vortex 1 - the first state-sponsored rock and roll festival. Many gathered to commemorate the event. There was plenty of photographic subject matter, for sure! (I also discovered McIver State Park has a wicked disc golf course.) I hope you enjoy the brief capture here. You can also listen to Finn J.D. John's podcast and read the article on its history here.
I had the opportunity to photograph an up-and-coming 2-piece band, Walking Stalking Robots (Paul Hubbard and Tarl Heddleston) from right here in Portland, Oregon at the White Eagle Saloon. I had some challenges with available lighting, but they were very fun to shoot, since they are passionate, talented humans with goals and souls. That said, not sure how they came up with their band name!
